FCC Caves in to AT&T: The Value of the 700Mhz Spectrum
The FCC--Federal Communications Commission--is quietly awarding a profitable part of the wireless spectrum to U.S. cellular carriers, intended for data services. AT&T just won a sizable chunk of 700Mhz spectrum, beating Google, Verizon and other smaller carriers. AT&T continues to expand its tentacles as it dominates the industry.
